Meet the Heart Behind Flourish & Flow Lactation

About Lorana Ard

Hi there! I’m Lorana, the face behind Flourish & Flow Lactation. I’m a speech-language pathologist and certified breastfeeding specialist. When I’m not helping families find their feeding flow, you can usually find me wrangling my two daughters, juggling five pets, or buried in a good book. (Fun fact: both of my girls are named after book characters!)

I’ve completed over 100 hours of lactation education and additional coursework as a Low Milk Supply Specialist, so whether you’re facing common challenges or unique ones, I’ve got the tools to support you.

My road to lactation work started with my own bumpy breastfeeding journey. Between nipple pain, latch struggles, clogged ducts, and navigating a tongue tie release, I’ve been there. With the right support, I went from tears and frustration to a beautiful breastfeeding relationship with my daughters, and I want that same confidence and peace for every family I serve.

I created Flourish & Flow to give local families the support I wish I had in those early days. My goal? To help you feel empowered, confident, and ready to flourish, whether you’re preparing prenatally, figuring out pumping at work, or navigating the bittersweet season of weaning.

My approach is a mix of evidence-based care, real-life experience, and a lot of encouragement. Around here, no question is too small, no worry is too silly, and no parent has to go it alone.

And yes, I really believe in the “pink” part of my brand, because just like flamingos, parents give so much of themselves to their little ones, and it’s my mission to help you get some of that pink back.

Mission Statement – Flourish & Flow Lactation

At Flourish & Flow Lactation, my mission is to support, empower, and nurture all families through their feeding journey. I provide compassionate, evidence-based lactation care that helps each parent or caregiver find their flow, building confidence, strengthening bonds, and fostering joy in nourishing their little ones.

Inspired by the flamingo, who gives so much of herself in caring for her young, we honor the resilience of all parents and caregivers while reminding them to also reclaim their strength, wellness, and identity. Just as the flamingo regains her pink, I believe every family deserves the tools, care, and encouragement to reclaim their pink and flourish in the postpartum season and beyond.
