Preparing For Your Visit
Intake Forms
Upon scheduling with me via Charm, I will send an intake for for you to fill out in your secure patient portal.
Home Visits
No need to tidy up! I’m here for you, not your house.
Wear something comfortable that allows easy chest/breast access for feeding.
Have your baby ready to feed around the time of our visit (but don’t stress if they’re hungry before, we’ll work with their rhythm).
Gather any feeding tools you’re currently using (pumps, bottles, nipple shields, pacifiers, etc.), so we can review them together.
Make a list of questions or concerns you’d like to talk about.
In Home 1:1 Prenatal Consults
Have a cozy space ready for us to sit and talk. No special setup required.
Bring your pump or feeding tools (if you already have them) so I can walk you through setup and use.
Jot down any questions about what to expect after birth, no question is too small.
Partners and support people are welcome, since they’ll play a big role in helping you flourish postpartum.
Virtual Consults
Find a quiet, well-lit space where you feel comfortable feeding.
Set up your phone, tablet, or laptop so I can see you and baby clearly during a latch.
Bring your feeding tools (pumps, bottles, etc.) nearby if you’d like me to assess or guide you through using them.
Keep water and snacks close by, this is your time too!.
Make a list of questions or concerns you’d like to talk about.
Group Breastfeeding Classes
Wear comfortable clothing (if pregnant, something that allows you to relax; if bringing baby, clothing that allows easy chest/breast access).
Bring a water bottle and snack, feeding and learning can work up a thirst!
For prenatal groups: A notebook or phone to jot down tips and resources.
Come as you are, no need to dress up or have it all figured out. This is a safe, supportive space for learning and connection.
General Tips
Feeding Log (optional): If you’ve been tracking feeds, diapers, or pumping, feel free to share your notes.
Support Person Welcome: Partners or support people are encouraged to join if you’d like.
Relax, there’s no “right way” to prepare. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you and your baby flourish.
